HP, DreamWorks Partner on Business Meeting Video Technology

Hewlett-Packard, in conjunction with DreamWorks, SKG introduced a new video technology that lets business personnel see each other in life-size images projected on studio-quality displays.

With the intent of making face-to-face business meetings more convenient and cost-effective, Hewlett-Packard (HP), in conjunction with video and motion picture company DreamWorks, SKG introduced a new technology that lets people see each other in life-size images projected on studio-quality displays. According to a statement from HP, the new technology can be utilized from any remote location throughout the world.

Unlike video conferencing, the new technology enables remote teams to communicate in a real-time environment with no delays. Both HP and DreamWorks say it's not just for top-level executives. Once the technology is installed, any employee can use it, helping businesses cut down on expensive travel to attend meetings and conferences. According to HP, this technology canprovide increased efficiencies throughout the office and provide faster decision-making capabilities, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

This piece will profile the hottest product to hit the business communications market in more than a decade. It will also highlight HP and other leading Fortune 500 customer executives who have recently tested and embraced the technology.
