Rohm And Haas Names New President, COO

PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Rohm and Haas Co., which makes paint, coatings and salt, said Monday it named Pierre R. Brondeau as president and chief operating officer, and created a chairman's committee to oversee the company's direction.

Brondeau joined Rohm and Haas in May 1989 and most recently served as executive vice president and business group executive. He also has worked for the company internationally in research and development and sales and marketing.

The chairman's committee will include Raj. L. Gupta, chairman and chief executive, Brondeau and Jacques M. Croisetiere, chief financial officer. Croisetiere was recently named chief strategy officer.
