Alliant Techsystems Gets Ammunition Orders

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Alliant Techsystems Inc. received an additional $93 million in orders from the Army for small caliber ammunition, the company said Monday.

ATK will make and deliver .56 millimeter, 7.62 mm and .50-caliber ammunition to the U.S. Army Sustainment Command in Rock Island, Ill. All three will be produced at the company's Lake City Ammunition Plant in Independence, Mo.

Shares of ATK added 54 cents to $82.74 in morning trading.
